Sandy River Road

@ Cranberry Stream, Fayette, ME

Replaced a deteriorated metal pipe culvert with a durable new open-arch culvert designed for long-term performance.
Worked closely with the Conservation Commission to design a wildlife-friendly crossing that supports safe animal movement.
Restored the riverbed to a more natural condition, improving habitat connectivity and stream function.
Wildlife began using the new crossing almost immediately after project completion, demonstrating the project’s environmental success.

The Municipal Parking Lot in downtown Skowhegan, Maine, supports local businesses, community events, and visitors.
Before its redesign, the lot lacked organization, clear traffic flow, and efficient use of space.
WPA transformed the parking lot into a safer, more functional, and visually appealing community space.
Improvements included organized parking, clearer entrances and exits, improved traffic flow, and enhanced pedestrian accessibility.
Landscaping and decorative features added structure and beauty, creating a more welcoming environment.
Comparisons from 2003 to 2018 showcase the successful transformation of the space.
